Grand Master Pointing Retriever Frosty

In Tucson, Arizona

Frosty's Sire, CPR FC Barton Creek's Classic Glass "Zeiss" >>

We had the honor of owning Zeiss for a couple of years.  His field trial trainer found that Zeiss frequently pointed on crates of ducks and mentioned to his owner at the time (Mike Haring) that Zeiss was the "real deal" when it came to pointing and that he might consider having Ziess introduced to the pointing lab world.  Zeiss is NOT available for breeding.

Talented retriever

Zeiss is not only an FC, but he obtained his FC title in the first year he competed - as a 3-year-old.  This is considered a tremendous achievement for a young field trial dog.

Natural pointer with APLA CPR title

Zeiss titled as a CPR after just 1 month of upland training witih me. Just took a litle bird exposure as the natrual point was always there.  I don't believe Zeiss ever came in contact with a live bird without producing a staunch point until flush.  In case you missed it, see his pointing video on Frosty's home page.  Zeiss is just 1 of 2 FC's ever to have received an APLA pointing title and is the only one with yellow factor (thus, our yellow Frosty!).

Stable, playful (bottle boy), loving dog

Zeiss' personality is truly incredible.  His degree of confidence, focus, and stability are unsurpassed.  With all of that, he was one of the most playful dogs we have had.  He loved plastic bottles, would play with them until you took them away, a trait he passed to our Frosty. We're pretty sure they would be NFC's of the plastic bottle game.  But Zeiss is also incredibly loving as you can see here.  I hardly ever stopped while standing or in a chair without Zeiss flopping on his back directly on my feet and begging for a tummy rub.
